We want to give people the tools to create a more consensual culture in their own lives and communities. Through a variety of programs, we work to define consent, help people become good bystanders, and understand how to support survivors.
We’re always looking for people who want to get involved with running trainings, or people who want us to bring them a training.
The section of the campaign focuses on working with common rooms, colleges, and the university to adopt explicit policies around sexual violence. We believe that every survivor should be supported by their community and that a key part of that community is the university.
So if you’re interested in getting involved, or want to bring It Happens Here to your college, get in touch.
Our outreach program has two parts. Within the University, it focuses on publicizing the issue of sexual violence and getting people involved with the campaign. But we also want to help strengthen the larger Oxford community by raising money for the Oxford Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Center, a fantastic local organization.
Future philanthropists and PR mavens welcome!
